Modern creative business cards
A post it idea from the School of Visual Arts in NY.
Wow! Great insight/product benefit right here. Do you guys feel like it was effectively executed? I love it but feel like one of my profs would say it doesn’t read quick enough. I think it’s great though. :)
Seems like IKEA are really shaking things up this year. In addition to the previously announced TV set, they’re also going to release a digital camera made of cardboard called Knäppa (“Snap”). It’ll hold 40 photographs at a time and plugs directly into your USB port. While it’s not the prettiest camera the world has ever seen, I do love the idea of a screen-less digital camera that brings people back to the wait-and-see days of film.
An ambient campaign that addresses smokers when they are reading. Iris, London slipped a specially designed page into physical books and Kindle – towards the end of books, readers come to a page that reads: THE END. If you smoke, statistically your story will end 15% before it should. For help with quitting, call the Quitline 0800 002200. (Advertising Agency: Iris London, UK)
Lego - Story Bricks
The ads appeared on four consecutive pages. LEGO is a company that has fostered imagination, invention and creativity for over 60 years. So it is unusual for these ads to feature only long copy with minimal imagery. However, upon reading each of these scenarios the ad comes to life in a way that is unique only to the reader and how they see these playtime scenarios in their mind’s eye. Typographic elements of kerning contrasted with tracking allow the reader to almost get lost in the copy selecting keywords for their imagination. The fourth ad in the series, “Yellow Brick” features a notepad with the tagline “Every LEGO brick tells a story. Build yours.”
